This week in science we learned that energy is not destroyed or created but that it converts from one kind of energy to another.
We harvested a little broccoli from the garden. The beans have lots of flowers on them so we look forward to picking them soon. Next week, we hope to plant a lot of seeds in the greenhouse. These seeds will be used in the spring when we plant the Three Sisters Garden.
This week we finished our persuasive letters on various topics, such as water conservation, recycling, and adding more sidewalks to our community. Our  letters are now posted on the bulletin board by the auditorium for everyone to enjoy.
This month we'll be learning about biographies. We will read biographies in class. Each of us will study a famous person.  At the end of the month we will all present what we've learned about this famous person.
Until next time...

Work! Work! Work! We worked very hard this week...but we also found some time for fun!.
In math we sorted triangles and quadrilaterals.
In P.E. we played a game called Jailbreak. This is a game where the "criminals" run all around and four or five "policemen" chase them with foam noodles. Once the "criminal" is tagged by the noodle he or she goes to jail.
In social studies we made posters about how natural resources are used in California.
On Wednesday we went on a field trip to see "You're  a Good Man Charlie Brown". We enjoyed it but not as much as "Oliver".
    That's all for now.
